Swiped this idea off another board.
Short piece of 1" square tubing. Make a cap for one end, drill a hole in the center and weld in a short shaft that can be chucked up in a battery drill. I used one of the lebendy-teen Torx bits I've collected from boxes of power-drive screws.
Saw ya off a piece of 3/4 x 3/4 pine just long enough to fit the piece of square tubing. Sand/plane it down to a press fit. Cut a slot on the diagonal wide enough to fit the eye of a screw eye, drive it into the square tubing.
Screw eye slips into the slot, you can push on it hard enough to get the screw point started, blip the trigger on the drill a couple of times and Presto! Screw eye is driven in and your wrists will thank you!
What do you mean I can't do that?
