Here's another update taken last month:

Fuselage is now covered

Tying the fabric to the fuselage ribs:

Working on the motor

Instrument panel is nearly complete:

This is going to be the last plane restored at Fawn Grove. Jack Kosko is selling the farm. The plane will likely be moved later this year for final assembly and flight testing.

Time for me to update progress!

Adding reinforcement strips over each rib.

Here it is all masked and ready to apply 4 more coats of Poly-brush. 1st coat was brushed on, the rest will be sprayed.

Here Bill is spraying the 1st coat.

The finish color is going to be Nevada Silver.

Finally! Got all of the orange Poly-Brush on. Now we finally get to do the final color-- Nevada Silver. :D

Barry starting on the bottom.
Slow going as it gets hot too quick to paint for very long. :(

Jim, it looks like you are still working out of the shop in York County. I thought you were moving out of there?

Really nice work, BTW. Will you be taking a ride in it when it is complete?

Airplane is going to a facility in MA when the painting is done. Jack wants out before cold!

Farm has been sold to Amish, Jack retained use of the shop until March '17.

Welcome aboard Rene84!

I don't know the current status of the airplane. Last I heard, it is stashed in Harlan Avezzi's shop in Massachusetts.
I have a few more pics of it at Fawn Grove, that for some reason, I never posted. Have to do that.
I will talk to Gerrit and see if he will help restore the pics like we did for the TBM.
BTW, the owner of this site is from the Netherlands.
Hope you start your own thread on your restoration. I am interested.

Jim

STONEY! I saw Rene's post and then noticed the date on your last post and thought "Dang...what happened to Jim? Not a peep in almost 2 years!" Nice to see ya back!

Gerrit, thanks for keeping an eye on the place and dealing with the pain in the butt that is Photobucket.
What do you mean I can't do that?

My pleasure, jefe.
Yeah, Photobucket is a pain but now I'm hosting all the pics so for as long as I'm around they are safe.

My pleasure, Jim.

I made this one a "sticky", too so it'll stay on top with the TBM Avenger thread.
