Ben playing with an old Craftsman Wood Lathe that i inherited from my dad years ago. Up until recently it sat around gathering dust and getting used as a junk drop site for whatever. odd scraps of lumber or whatever. i have started using it and playing around to see just what I can do on it. Here are a couple things that are trivial finished parts.

Small red oak bowl

Couple wine bottle toppers. One out of some kind of pine and one from oak.
Have roughed out a couple other bowls. Would like to do more bowls and such but, the old lathe is not really built for anything of much size.
Just so you know I haven't straed too far from steel: Made this little mandrel to turn wine bottle tops on.

Sorry. not sure what the phone camera was trying to focus on in the last one.
If it was easy, anyone could do it!
