My first sticky? Thank you Gerrit!

I been checking some of the links on that page. Looking like ethanol could be related to a hole host of problems I have been hearing about in motorcycles and small engines.

Of Particular interest to me due to the fact I have a Newer 25HP Mercury 2 stroke...

I see they recommend switching to and running only a full synthetic mix oil. So I may have to do that.
Supposedly in this area they use 10% ethonol only during the winter months...Not so sure this is true anymore.
So I better take the precaution. As for The fuel I Run Marine grade Staybil into the last tanks of fuel I use in a year.
So far so good. A 2 stroke 25 HP mercury engine is Expensive and I sure don't want to kill it with the gasoline that goes in it.

TB...Thanks for the Information...always welcome.

PS The US Airforce base at Fairchild had 3 Kawasaki Mules
That sat a lot and the fuel systems just turned to crap.
WE must have cleaned the fuel systems 5 times in each unit in 5 years time. We saw going diesel Mule there only real solution
unless they started managing the use and fuel..

Knowing that stabil isn't formulated for ethanol fuels. I have been on the lookout for a suitable alternative, So fair I have found Star Tron http://mystarbrite.com/startron/ One bottle says it treats 48gal for about $8 and clams to do everything I have been looking for. I have picked up one bottle for testing purposes. Come June or July Thay say everyone has to have ethanol?? Gonna check on that too?

Has anyone herd of or had expearance Star Tron? Or found any other additives to stave off the ill effects of ethanol?
